How to get certified as a Section 3 worker
Certification is handled by your housing authority
Worker self-certification is no longer available through this page. Your housing authority administrator certifies workers directly through their admin dashboard.
What you need to do:
Contact your housing authority
Reach out to the housing authority or contractor who is hiring you and let them know you want to be certified as a Section 3 worker.
Provide your eligibility documentation
You may be asked to show proof that you meet Section 3 criteria — e.g., income documentation, public housing residency verification, or YouthBuild participation.
Administrator completes certification
An authorized administrator will certify your status in the Rapid Compliance system. You will receive confirmation once your record is updated.
